Spooner Health System Replacement Hospital

Spooner, WI

The Critical Access Hospital is a two story, 80,000 square foot new construction in Spooner, Wisconsin.  It consists of an emergency department, surgical suite, imaging and lab department, physical therapy  and infusion space, executive offices, a cafeteria, and 18 patient beds including birthing.

The design is based off of a north woods concept with rich materials and tones that blend well into the Spooner environment.  There are expansive views to the back of the hospital, including from the patient rooms and cafeteria.

I worked as one of three designers for this space taking on the roll of lead architectural designer along with one of the principals at BWBR.
